Can i get worms from my new kitten?

I bought a kitten today an on his papers it says he got his worm treatment on Friday. Does it take a month to start working? Well anyways I cought him drinkin my milk out of my cup and my bf said it should be fine if I drink it and I did. Will I get worms from it?
