What are some job positions in an Elementary School?

What kind of job positions are there in an Elementary School? The only one I can think of is custodian. Is it possible to help out as a librarian? How about teacher istant? I heard you can't be a teacher istant unless you're in college working on becoming a teacher yourself. Is that true?
